Boyle Casino
Case Study
176% growth in the UK's most competitive casino search terms
The Challenge
Boyle Casino competes in one of the toughest organic search markets there is: UK online casino. The brands above and around it include some of the biggest names in the sector, and the highest-value keywords are dominated by a small number of very high-volume terms where a single position change can move tens of thousands of visits a month. Added to that, Boyle Casino shares a domain with the BoyleSports sportsbook, so every piece of casino SEO work has to be carefully separated from sports betting activity.
When we started working together, Boyle Casino was in a low position for search visibility and rankings. But we knew the brand could compete with the best. The strength of the BoyleSports name, and the level of crossover traffic already moving between its sports and gaming products, meant the foundations were there. The job was to turn that brand equity into organic search performance.

What We Did
Working as Boyle Casino’s SEO partner, we focused on improving rankings for the head terms that carry the most commercial weight, rather than chasing keyword volume for its own sake. Alongside optimising the top-level landing pages, we built out content for individual game titles so each could rank in its own right and generate high-intent conversions, with internal linking from those pages passing authority up to the pages higher in the site hierarchy. In practice that meant:
Technical SEO
Including making sure key casino content was being crawled and indexed correctly, so nothing the brand published was invisible to Google.
On-page and content work
Targeted at the core commercial generics, plus dedicated pages for the game titles with genuine search demand, structured so every new page strengthened the pages above it.
Link building and digital PR
To build the authority needed to compete with the biggest names in the sector on the most contested terms in the market.

The Results
Comparing June 2025 with June 2026 across the UK’s 16 leading casino operators:
- +176% growth in head-term traffic, from 17,790 to 49,122 estimated monthly clicks on Tier 1 keywords
- Position 2 for 'online casino', the single most searched term in the market at 206,000 monthly searches
- Position 1 for 'casino online' and 'uk online casino', position 2 for 'online casino uk', position 4 for 'casino'
- +139% overall organic traffic growth, one of the fastest growth rates in the competitive set
- 4th largest traffic gain of the 16 leading UK operators, at +33,802 estimated monthly clicks, behind only Bet Victor, Oddschecker and MrQ
- 93% of gains came from high-volume head terms, not long-tail padding: Tier 1 keyword count moved only from 70 to 78, so almost the entire increase came from rank improvements on the terms that matter most
- Gained through both the December 2025 and March 2026 Google core updates, while five major operators in the set declined

Why It Matters
Plenty of sites grow traffic by adding thousands of low-value keywords. Boyle Casino’s growth came the hard way: moving up the rankings on the most competitive, most commercially valuable terms in the market, and holding those positions through two core algorithm updates.
